Early Stage Lung Cancer

When lung cancer is detected at an early stage, surgery remains the most effective treatment option, offering the best chance for cure. At our centre, we use robotic-assisted surgery to perform precise lung resections with minimal trauma to the body. This approach allows us to remove the cancer with greater accuracy, often preserving more healthy lung tissue and leading to faster recovery and fewer complications.

Lymph node removal is a critical part of lung cancer surgery, helping determine the true stage of disease. Robotic platforms offer superior access and control for this. Our surgical technique mirrors that used in a landmark multicentre study (Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Yang et al., 2022), which found that robotic-assisted surgery resulted in significantly higher lymph node yield compared to traditional approaches—supporting better staging and long-term outcomes.
